NotesEasy drops, low powered smooth rides, easy paddle back up. When downstream generator is on low there is a challenging drop on the downstream side right into the boil at the top of the eddy that yields DEEP long rides for the patient. On the upstream side it\s an easier drop where the eddy pushes into the current. Just wait for a surge of current up top and drop on it. Smooth 10 second rides in really calm water pushing towards the wall but at these lower levels it\s not an issue.

NotesThe TVA guys were doing generator maintenance so we were down to 1 generator and no water over the falls. Had a 3 day span with just the downstream generator going, so I tried dropping the downstream side of it (kind of just under the bridge). Tough entry to dial, but ultimately it worked in both directions of spin and gave some BIG, DEEP, SMOOTH rides. I had my best luck spinning right, while Clay did best spinning left. I was working back under the eddy for lots of longer support. Definitely 20+ seconds at times and deep. I probably played from 1,600 - 1,900 cfs over the 3 days and 1,900 was definitely best for consistency...Great spot!!!

NotesBeen here every day for the past 10 days straight. Best levels definitely 5,200-6,000. There\s a HUGE variety of rides to be had!!! Least amount of work is to play the river left (upstream) side of the main squeeze. That will usually take you deep and push you back towards the easy eddy on the river left. I have hit that wall there a few times, but not bad. Longest rides will start in the meat of the seam (wherever it looks strongest), go pretty deep, travel out into the current, and move downstream with tons of support. I\ve popped up almost under the bridge a few times :) Got several 20+ sec rides and a 30 today. At lower levels, it\s a lot more of a waiting game...spinning around on the seam waiting for the right surge, but big rides still happen, even down in the 4,000\s. We had one day with water coming over the falls, and the upstream generator went down (which is one we normally play). I thought that just the lower one was even better than what we normally play. GREAT SPOT!!!
