	Annual New River Squirt Gathering of Friends 2011 will be May 16-18 with the informal comp. on Saturday and party that night! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE. Held at the Bubbler on the Upper New River in Virginia. Guaranteed mysteries for any want a be bottom dweller. The normal camping will be available from Thursday night through Saturday night as usual at Boley Field a very laid back (private)primitive group campground in the Jefferson Naitonal Forest (looks like Sunday camping will be available this year). Excellent mountain biking in this area. The event usually has great mugs sponsored by PS Composite, plenty of prizes and a cool gear auction + a keg on tap throughout (hopefully - donated by Appomattox River Company again). There will be the annual bring your best brew party on Saturday night of your favorite six pack brew to put in the cooler to be shared. Donations can be given at the campground to help cover the expenses. Usually a group grill going on Friday and Saturday nights. For more info, ask ricky on the angst board... Remember the water for the Bubbler will be at the New River Gorge in WV and usually brings in Mellow Ledge for Monday for those looking for the extended vacation. + the New River Gorge is a classic Big Water Squirt River Located about 2 hrs. away. Last years website is still up (above on the gatherings list) and the only big change will be the date a week later this year. Hope to get the website updated soon. Another new site for the area is Arcadia on the James River near Roanoke about 1 hour from the Bubbler if it is in. Good chance it will be this time of year! Cheers

	This years world mystery championship will be held on the Hiwassee river in Reliance TN at a spot we call \\The Leslie\\. Team TN has rented a cabin on about 2 acres within walking distance to Hiwassee outfitters where we have also reserved 5 campsites. Between these two areas there should be enough room for 50-75 people. We are very excited to show everyone a great time and look forward to seeing ya\\ll soon! 	SORRY FOLKS - Due to erratic releases and hectic schedules, there is no Dizzyfest this year. Camping at the Dizzyland. There are good milkshakes in town a mile down the road, as well as other food and grocery errands if you so desire. Attendence of 12 squirt boaters this past year. For those that have never tested the many realms here this is a great opportunity to see what she will give up!! There will be a downriver squirt competition and an eddyline competition. Some quality brew will be awarded for prizes! I am not going to try and con anyone into coming if there is not going to be some epic spots to play in. 	NOTE: DATE IS NOT DETERMINED YET... but this is the date it was last year... This is not a purely squirt boat fest... in fact, as far as i know i was the only squirt boater there last year... but... Ill be heading up to this small festival in Cashmere Wa for the weekend... Way smaller than East Coast Fests like Gauley or Cheat Fest. Went to it last year.. its a fun class 3 section. Paddled in my wave sport XXX on sat, then my glass boat on sunday. ...its deep water, fun wave trains, fun non-hazardous rapids for glass. Kinda reminded me of the Lower Yough with deeper water. I hit some 5 second mysteries at different spots during the paddle downstream. There is probably more mystery potential there that i didnt probe out.. Lots of shwag from the reps.. community camping area. Free shuttle provided by fest. WA squirt boaters: come join me! its a fun run! -weaver

Everything about it looks good.. exploration is warranted. not to mention it has incredible undeveloped camping near by, and in the middle of no-where with beautiful scenery. Bring your plastic boats. Fun class 3 playboat section Fish to Bobs is 15 minutes downstream from Two Rivers; Ive squirted it but its a bit gripping and shallow below 3000cfs... If Joe Bobs Wave and Bobs Hole are in, they are fun to shred in your tupperware. -weaver

	The Cquirt will be held on April 29th and hopefully there will be a good level at Fascination Alley for us to indulge in. Prior to the drop well meet up at PS Composites (if they give us the okay again hint!) that Friday (4/29)???? late morning prior to heading for the Cheat for afternoon play.??? Hopefully there will be a few new designs there along with the usual older boats for folks to try out. Adam should have his newly designed boat (Mentor) and maybe a Mavin (or two) and Oxygen, etc., hopefully Jim s new design will be ready by then as well. The Shaggy Design boys (who might be working on a Cquirt as well) might cross the boarder and show as well. And lets us not forget that Jim Gross and his wooden wonder might be able to show up. Of course all squirt enthusiasts are welcome since we are an inclusive group (and can use any tips given).

	Mid Winter Squirt Gathering at Ghandi! Three of us from TN have verbally committed to a session at either Ghandi or the Y in the Smokies on Friday. Our plan is arrive around noon and stay until we can no longer bear the pain. Come out and join us if you like. We may even have someone time to find the longest ride. The high is 41, partly cloudy with a chance of brain freezes. Spring is right around the corner! Reasons to come: #1) this is one of the dumbest things we have done in a while. #2) even dumber than when taft and i raced to the bottom of the 16footer on north pole. i was in my kayak, he was on the rope swing... he won. #3) you sissies dont stand a chance. i am gonna finally hit that terminal mystery that i have been looking for. and then i am gonna tricky-woo my little woo-tricky all the way home. #4) remember... gahndi loves everybody #5)its never too late to back out.
